Frequently Asked Questions

Thanks for checking out the Criterium Cycles website. Whether you are new to the site or a longstanding customer, we hope you find this section helpful in answering frequently asked questions. If the Question and Answer you are seeking is not here, then do drop us a line on criteriumonline@criteriumcycles.co.uk and we’ll get our heads together and come up with a clear, helpful answer as fast as we can.

Your site has changed a lot since May 2017. Why is that?

Indeed it has changed! We started an online shop in September 2016 and it has been great fun with hopefully many satisfied customers. But we weren’t completely happy with every aspect of it, principally because we think to be successful these days you have to be a bit different and offer something really exciting and new. So we took the decision to change the site for a few months and not do online sales whilst we did a big redesign.

What does this mean for Criterium Cycles in Edinburgh

It doesn’t have any impact. In fact, our store in Edinburgh has been voted one of the Top 20 Independent Bike Shops in the whole of the UK for the fourth year in a row and we’re busier than ever. The only changes we’ve made for a little while are to our online store.

I bought something from you when you sold stuff online. Will you still honour any warranties and I can still return it if I need to?

Absolutely. We will honour everything we said previously as that’s the Criterium way. If you do want to return anything or you have a warranty query, just send us an email at criteriumonline@criteriumcycles.co.uk and we’ll come back to you as quickly as we can explaining the various options you have. These may vary depending on what you bought and when you bought it.

You had my customer details from when I ordered before. Are those details safe?

All the details from our previous website are safely stored so that we can still access customer records if we need to support anyone in making a warranty claim or something similar. We will only use your records in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

I had an account with Criterium Cycles and I even had some Criterium Rewards Points. What’s happened to them?

We’ve partnered with a brilliant company called Always Riding who, like us, love cycling and everything to do with cycling. They  also stock some of the coolest cycling brands around! Always Riding have very kindly offered that if you open an Always Riding Riders Reward account, in addition to the introductory points offer they give customers, they will also let us transfer your Criterium Rewards points across at the rate of 1 Criterium Rewards point = 5 Rider Reward points. All you have to do is open a Always Riding Rider Rewards account then send us an email to criteriumonline@criteriumcycles.co.uk to tell us you’ve done that. If you have a balance of Criterium Rewards points, we’ll do the rest!
