Welcome to our new website and online shop

By August 1, 2016News

Criterium Cycles has had the privilege over the last 3 and a half years of serving so many customers. It has been  an honour to be able to stock leading brands such as Trek, Bontrager, Shimano, Hope, Endura, Gore and many more. We also recently welcomed to our store other leading cycling brands such as Bianchi, Castelli, KASK and SiDi. Since we have been open, we have worked hard to build a business based on one simple set of related objectives. They are to sell only the best brands in the cycle industry, to deliver a level of customer service and overall quality that is second to none and to delight our customers time and time again.

One of the best Edinburgh bike shops

Whilst we recognise we still have much to learn, we are delighted with where we have reached on the journey so far. For the last three years – 2014, 2015 and 2016 – we have been voted one of the Top 20 Independent Bike Dealers in the UK. We are proud to be considered to be on the of the best Independent Bike Shops in the UK and one of the very best Edinburgh bike shops. We are not complacent though and will keep striving to improve whilst all the time delivering consistently outstanding service.

One of the things that we have wanted to do for a while is launch a website that faithfully reflected the approach we take to service and quality in the store. That’s not easy to do. These days, the internet is full of companies delivering products where the focus is very much on price. Everyone likes a deal and as consumers ourselves, we are no different. But quality and service are just as important so we are always up for a challenge. That is why we have taken time to put this website together. We have sourced great brands at really competitive prices and we are working hard to find more all the time. We have also aimed to design a site that is easy to navigate and easy to use. We’ve also designed it up so we can publish some really interesting and exclusive content which, over time, will get better and better.

Our new website in BETA

The only way to really work out whether everything we have tried to do actually works to the very high standards we set is to let it go live and see what happens! There was a bit of a “heart in the mouth” moment when we switched it on.  So this is a BETA site and we are going to use the next few weeks to iron out any wrinkles before a full on launch.

That means we know there will be some wrinkles (we’ve already spotted a few ourselves) and we would really value your feedback. You may find something you don’t like, or that doesn’t work, or you think could be really improved. If so, please let us know as we value that feedback very much. Just click on Contact Us and send us a message via the easy to use contact us form where it says Make an Enquiry. Please don’t hold back – tell us what you like, what you really don’t like and what you would like us to change or add etc. We can’t promise to do everything all at once but we will prioritise the stuff that really makes the customer experience better and we’ll do the other things later. Thanks in anticipation of some great feedback – we really appreciate it.

So here’s to a new chapter as we look forward to introducing lots of new friends to the world of Criterium Cycles!
